{week + end rewind}

Well last week blogging didn't happen much but that's life. The kids didn't have overlapping naps and when Ryder is sleeping I try and give Delainey all the 1 on 1 time I can plus try and keep the house kind of under control for when Justin gets home but it's never as clean as the clean freak is me is happy with. Oh well.

Anyways - last week...I can hardly remember. Ryder I think it going through the dreaded 4 month sleep regression people talk about because being up 2-4 times a night is not like him. Needless to say I am sleepy. Seems unfair he gets to eat, chat, smile and being all cute at 12am, 2am, 4am and then take a glorious 2 hours nap come 8am...sigh. Good thing he's cute - and like Trace Atkins song says "You're Gonna Miss This".

So last week - Monday Delainey spent the morning with my parents,

and we spent most of the afternoon outside after naps.

Cruz has decided she loves the slide and Delainey thinks it's the coolest thing ever.

Somehow Ryder is big enough for the baby swing already which means Delainey has graduated as well. How?

Tuesday we met Jen and Wes at the zoo. Delainey fell asleep so we basically speed walked our way around the zoo in an hour and were read for home time.

We sorted colored Popsicle sticks for hours. Not joking.

More park time and dual swinging. We have been so lucky and have stopped at the park every day on our afternoon walks for as long as I can remember lately!

We took a trip to Ikea. Mainly for hot dogs and ice cream.

Collecting treasures on our walk. It was such a beautiful day!

And our big boy is happy to sit at the table with us now. Delainey also loves it.

After dinner on Wednesday Mom picked Delainey up for another sleepover - last one before their trip! She had a blast as Pa hid a bunch of mini Easter eggs for her to find before bed. And of course again and again the next day!

I picked her up for Gymnastics and left them Ryder - who was a stinker for them! :(.
Delainey had a great day at gym and we are sad this week is our last week. Don't tell her but we are trying a new program next session...:(

She got an Easter bucket from Ma & Pa that is perfect for collecting treasures...We learned on this walk the difference between circle rocks and rabbit poop though. One is not a treasure and doesn't go in our bucket! ha ha

Friday we went to get groceries and headed up to Chapters in Signal Hill to meet up with Sue-Rose who was selling her Bare.Bundles up there as we wanted to pick one up for a gift.

We checked out another park in Kincora before her nap that didn't happen.

Saturday morning Justin headed out for his bike ride but with my brother this time. We spent the morning at home. Painting eggs, working out, playing outside - the regular!

Ryder watching Delainey intently.

^ Beanie c/o 4Fold Threads - more about these this week.

Playing hide and seek

Once Justin got home we headed out to another new park and then over to our community center for the annual Easter Egg Hunt event.

We found Spider Man!

There were 4 different craft tables and a cookie making table. It was really busy and the tables were all too high for Delainey to participate so I held her up to decorate a cookie and she was happy.

She loved searching for eggs! The eggs had letters on them and you had to get eggs to spell EASTER and then turn it in for a goodie bag. She would have been happy just filling her bag and taking all the eggs home!

After her nap we hid them in the backyard. And again. She is really going to love Easter!

These guys let me sleep in a little Sunday since this naked baby was up all night!

Delainey got her first bleeding and swollen lip from a crash with Cruz while playing chase with Daddy. Poor girl. It's still really swollen today but she's a tough one.

Hiding Daddy in eggs.

Sunday we ran a bunch of errands after a lazy morning at home. We went for a windy walk and play at the park while Daddy made dinner.

I was changing Ryder's bum and he kept pushing back to he could still see the bike movie - upside down. Silly boy.

And just like that it's Monday!

I am jealous, does D still sit in a highchair?! I wish!! I cannot contain A at meal times :( I am hoping to try gymnastics in the fall with A but it is parented and no younger siblings are allowed on the floor so I need to figure that out. I am so happy with this weather lately, makes March so much better!

I love that Cruz loves the slide...that's so cute! And yet another reason we need to move to a different community- we don't get any of those fun seasonal events! We looked at new developments in Airdrie so it might be a possibility in the future!

What a fun weekend! I love the Popsicle sorting game. Did you paint the sticks yourself or can you buy them that way? We've just been using the IKEA cutlery for sorting but there isn't enough haha! You're so good for taking so many photos during the week!

What gymnastics program are you doing next? You think she will be upset about the change?

D is looking so grown up! Other than the highchair pic! Leo is still in his- will probably be there till he's 5, if I have my way!

Woah Ryder- you must be growth spurting because you look huge!! Damn 4 month sleep regression- it's evil! Sending you lots of coffee!

The Easter Egg hunt looked like fun!
