{weekend rewind: thanksgiving}

Well hello there. We had an incredible weekend but first I best rewind back to Wednesday. Both Delainey and I had doctors appointment so it was a bit of a long morning but she was a trooper. She's still a wee thing but continues to go up on her charts and is a healthy girl so the doctor was very pleased with her. It was the first time with no tears too when he was doing the check up!

Kaiya-  her new baby her pretty much her favorite thing right now. I was getting the car seat ready to install in the truck {whoa!} and she took over unprompted!

We have been having such amazing weather so our walks are long and slow! Delainey loves to run the ravine, play with Cruz, follow bettles, pick flowers and rocks - the works!

Wednesday night Delainey and I went for East Indian with my girlfriend Kristen - we always go to the same place and our waitress brought Delainey mango smoothies all night even though she also loved the nan and butter chicken!

Thursday we had Gymnastics and she loved that warm up was just free time in the pit - belly flops in to the pit are her jam.
Playing with her buddy Sully! Thankfully she was much more cooperative that last week and listened well too.

 {Thanks for the photo Brie!}

More afternoon walk silliness! "Halloween" {she named the candy corn my Mom made last fall} goes everywhere with her right now.

Walking on the "beam".

Telling Cruz to sit, stay, no pull.

Friday I had planned to run a few errands and then get stuff done at home but it was too nice out so we ventured to the zoo.  It was so beautiful out. We sent Daddy photos when we sat down for a fruit break asking if we could bring him a treat since we were so close to his work and he requested a lunch date!

I told Delainey we had to pack up cause we were going to meet Daddy for lunch so she hopped up and said "bye giraffes, bye zebras, gotta go, I see Daddy!". Such a goofy kid.

We grabbed some lunch at Bite in Inglewood which is actually in Justin's building and walked to eat by the river.

These two had no fun! :)

Saturday morning we headed out to the lake for Thanksgiving. It was SO hot out, it was amazing. If I had packed a bikini I just might have braved putting it on as it was so hot!
First thing Gramma & Grandpa took Miss D for a boat ride in the little boat as it's the only one still in the water and she had yet to go for a ride in it. She LOVED it.

Afterwards we headed out for a nice walk in the snowshoe trails.

Last year! Because comparison photos are my thing. :)

Such a beautiful fall day!

After that we headed to Auntie Cathy & Uncle Ken's for a surprise 80th birthday celebration for Nana. We had a delicious dinner and then tons of lake friends came over afterwards for cake. Delainey was a trooper and lasted until almost 10pm when Justin and I finally took her home!

Morning stories sitting on Kaiya.

Snuggling with Auntie Jolie while she read and Auntie marked papers!

Candy corn shelf. ;)

When there was a knock at the door Delainey jumped off the couch and squealed "Kayee, Kayee"! Thankfully it was Kaley and Steve coming for a visit!

Grandpa chasing Miss D!

We had a delicious turkey dinner that my Mom made at our place on Sunday night.

Before bed Delainey had fun with some glow balloons and her new glow wand.

Beautiful morning at the lake. Until it started to rain. ;)
We had such a nice relaxing time with everyone.

We packed up after some yummy leftovers and headed home for more food! :) We had another delicious thanksgiving dinner with Debbie, Crystal, Troy, Emerson and Nixon. Thankfully we always get Chicken Casserole so we never have to over do it on turkey!
Nixon all dressed up - super impressed with Uncle Justin taking his photo!

Dessert time!

Such a great weekend with our family. SO thankful.

Looks like you guys had such a fun long weekend! That's awesome that you got to meet up with Justin and an impromptu lunch! I bet he was thrilled to see his girls during the day. :) I'm glad you got some great lake weather - we had beautiful weather here this weekend, too!

Sounds like you guys had a great weekend! Love that you were able to meet J for lunch. Does D telling Cruz to not pull work? If so, can I borrow her to teach Harley? ;)

I love those glow balloons!! Where did you find them?

Also, that comparison photo is adorable!! They grow up so fast!!

I'm hoping to take London to the zoo again before it gets too cold!

Warm up time in the ball pit is so much more fun than when we were doing warm up with the older kids! Where oh where did you get glow balloons? Is that even a thing? Or do you just put glow sticks inside the balloons? Sully is obsessed with balls and balloons so this would be fun to do!

What a beautiful weekend to be out at the lake! Love the comparison photo on the hike. She's changed so much yet she still looks the same :)
