{weekend rewind}

I have loved these last 5 days. We were busy but had a ton of fun.
Wednesday Delainey and I went to Joso's which is an indoor playground right down the hill from us. It's just the right size for Delainey and she had so much fun. It's a 3 level play structure and she wasn't timid at all. She actually may have been a little annoyed I was following her around!

She climbed up to this slide all by herself over and over again.

Thursday we went swimming to Vecova in the morning. It's a warm pool - AKA I won't go anywhere else. Delainey did so great: floating on her back, kicking, splashing, attempting to blow bubbles with her face in the water, mini jumps off the side. We had a blast.

She also enjoyed the post swim snack. A lot. So much she was pretty upset to share.

Thursday night her and Cruz had a sleepover with my parents as I worked Friday morning. Just and I snuck down to the watering hole for dinner as it was burger night. Yum.

Must bring all toys to the stairs!

Friday we had a dinner planned at my parents for Jeff's 30th birthday. It was our family, plus Nana, plus Jeff and Jolie's 2 roomies, Jeff's best friend Scott and his fiancee. We had an awesome meal.

Playing naked peek a boo under the pack and play while getting jammies on!

Delainey was so sad Jeff turned 30. ha

Happy Birthday brother!

After dinner a big group of Jeff's friends all came over for drinks. We {kinda} surprised him with it.
For Jeff's birthday we built him Giant Jenga. We played it this summer at Darren's rehearsal dinner and it was super fun so I knew I wanted to make it for him. Justin did all the cutting and sanding and then we added "rules".

It was a hit. Except by Cruz. She did not love it crashing to the ground. And thankfully Delainey slept right thought it all!

Soon to be sister!

T-Rex!

It was such a fun night. Jeff has really great friends. {Cough. Except one. Cough.} They are all so kind and great guys and now have such great girls attached to them.

We slept over just to make things easier. Delainey was excited to have Jeff's birthday balloons to play with in the morning.

We had breakfast with Mom and Dad and then headed home for nap time. Saturday afternoon we had a nice visit with Gramma Debbie and a beautiful walk in the ravine.
Saturday night Justin and I watched Hunger Games - enjoyed it for sure.

Sunday we headed out to the zoo {with the rest of Calgary}. It was such an awesome day - animals were quiet but we had a great time.

We had lunch outside it was so nice!

Second time on the merry-go-round was enjoyed much more than the first!

She sang the whole time and got so excited to see Dad as we passed!

Family selfie! It was so nice out we did not need our toques but we also did not do our hair. :)

We enjoyed a nice family walk in the afternoon and just like that the weekend was over.

So much fun! That place place looks awesome, we don't have on here. Good job swimming D! We have the same swimsuit ;) Avery refuses to blow bubbles lol.
I am so happy for the nicer weather, I cannot wait to be outside more finally. A gets so bored at home inside the house. No wonder she runs away when I go to get her at dayhome lol.

That play place looks like fun. Red Deer needs something like that. There is a big 7 storey play place in a neighbouring town that we go to sometimes, but there is one part at the top that is too tall for Liam to climb up so I always have to go rescue him.

I laughed at the except one comment about your brothers friends, that's funny.

Loving this beautiful weekend. I'm really tempted to book a day off work to take Liam to the zoo during the week instead of waiting for the weekend. I'm going to do that soon and maybe you guys could join!

What a wonderful weekend! Love all your little outings with Delainey. Even though she wasn't too keen on your brother turning 30. Lol

Wow, you guys packed a lot into a weekend but it sounds like you had lots of fun. Looks like you've got a little fish on your hands! That's great that she loves the water so much and I would also be all about a warm pool as I hate the shock of jumping into a cooler pool!

That is awesome that it was nice enough to eat outside on a March day! That doesn't happen very often! Nicer weather has also arrived here and I am LOVING it.
