::Weekend Rewind::

Friday night
We had a little surprise Happy Retirement party for my Dad.
Gift from his brother! It's huge.
It was nice to visit with their friends and our family and celebrate my Dad!

Saturday was my sweet Mayela's 7th birthday. I remember when I first met you (below) and instantly loved you. And today I love you even more.

Justin, Lily, Cruz and I walked to Starbucks. You would have thought we had taken Lil on a 3 day trek the amount she complained about the walk but we made it home alive and well and in the end she was happy.

By late afternoon it was beautiful out so Justin and I raked the front yard and I then sat in the back yard while Cruz and Justin played fetch with the lacrosse stick, Lily ran through the sprinkler and we opened a bottle of our favorite summer weather wine Tapestry. Life is good.
Justin's new find. It's actually delicious. Iced tea and beer - who would have thought!
We then had a mix of appies for dinner! All in all it was lovely.

These two had fun too. :) 7 sleeps brother! :)

While we walked in the ravine - my Dad and Claire ran a half marathon. :)
{Mom was all ready to run but her hip has been really giving her issues so she decided it was best to cheer them on from the side lines}
Dad ran in 1:39 (I think this was final time) - and said he felt great the whole time. :) Nice work guys.

Justin went for a bike ride on Nose Hill with Mr. D while I cleaned bath tub after bath tub of wine bottles! We're starting our win kits soon. :)
Then I did a workout (after a month of just yoga I was ready to get my sweat on!) and did some journaling. The book Bloom and Whit inspired me to just write 'life' down.

And the BEST news of yesterday:
(I was going to wait and post this tomorrow but I can't wait - so this is a LONG post - BUT worth it.)
Whitney launched her Photography page on facebook and this is just the beginning for her!
I am so excited for her and so proud.

Please go check it out and hit that little like button and show her some love!!
Because I know you are going to LOVE what you see...

She has done 3 family sessions for us:
(And our walls are covered with these shots!)

Maternity and newborn sessions with Rachel, John & Henry.

Maternity with Vanessa:

And on Saturday did a session with Leigh, Mr. D & Harley.
AMAZING - right?! I know.
So please go check her out.

That's all. :)
