Rowdy Girl

On Monday morning my Aunt & Uncle made the decision to say goodbye to our Rowdy.

I know it was one of the hardest and easiest decisions.
We love our dogs as much as we love each other so there is no way we want our furry family to suffer.
Rowdy was old for a big dog and her body was failing her.

My Aunt & Uncle rescued Rowdy when she was just a puppy.
I remember her first summer at the lake.
She would run and run and run non-stop and the only way to get her to come inside at night was to corner her at the end of the pier.

She loved to chase seagulls and fetch tennis balls.

Since Rowdy was a rescue we didn't know her birthday so they gave her the same birthday as Ripken, July 1st. This was Cruz's 1st summer celebrating thier birthday.

This past summer birthday pictures.

Rowdy & Ripken

Rowdy was the only dog in the family to really play with Cruz.
Cruz quickly learned the right way to play with old Rowdy and they loved it.
Rowdy would make SO much noise when they played.
Justin and I were talking last night and when they played it really brought the puppy out in Rowdy.

My Favorite picture of Rowdy & Cruz cuddling.

Cruz, Ripken & Bailey will miss the 4th dog in the family.

I am taking Cruz & Ripken over to Aunty Cathy & Uncle Ken's tomorrow so they can have the dogs for the day and I am sure Rip & Cruzie are going to be confused and sad to be there without Rowdy.

Jeff and I no longer have any cousins.
Our family will be missing a member. :(

But now our Rowdy girl is out there chasing seagulls and tennis balls without any pain.
We already miss you Rowdy girl. xoxo

I'm so sorry to hear Alison. The loss of a pet is so difficult to deal with.
Hopefully Cruz will be a big comfort to you, Justin and the rest of your family.
