Where did that weekend go?

Well we had a great weekend. Family, new friends, relaxation and well...cold weather. Boo.
AND Jeff's team won both games and he got an assist. Yeah brother.

Friday night we had a great visit with Uncle Gary, Aunt Sandy, Kirk & Tracey.
We ate delicious pizza from Amicis and caught up.
If you live in Calgary, you must try Amicis pizza. So good.
Satuday morning Justin took his cousins to Cross Iron Hills Mall, mainly for Kirk to check out Bass Pro Shop. They were in awe.

On Saturday night we went over to Leigh's place for dinner.
We met Rachel and John for the first time, even though it felt like the 3 of us girls had known each other much longer. We had a great time. The guys all enjoyed sneaking off to the basement to check on the football with beers in hand and the dogs, oh the dogs. They did not stop. But they had so much fun terrorizing the backyard and wrestling in the living room, they all got along great.

We had a delicious dinner to boot. Mr. D & Leigh made enough ribs for us all to eat 3 times but they were great, as were the biscuits. :) Rachel made delicious potatoes that forced me to have seconds as well as Creme Brule. Yum. We brought an appetizer and a salad.
Oh and Mr.D made some great hummus too.
Rachel has a super cute baby belly and we are all excited to meet baby Henry in a couple months.
I am certain all the dogs slept well Saturday night, Cruz was asleep before we even got out of their neighborhood! (and was still catching up on sleep on Sunday!)
Just look at how cute Harley is, and knows exactly what to do when the camera comes out!

Us girls:
With our dogs:

Sunday Lily and I hungout and Justin went touring with some buddies.
(Snowshoe up the mountain for 3 hours, snowboard down)
Hard work but worth it I am told as you get all untouched powder on the way down.
Stresses me out just a tad, but I know they are careful and carry all the avalanche beacons, shovels and gear.
He made it home alive (yet incredibly tired) so I was a happy wife.

We had a great dinner at Mom and Dad's (ribs again, lucky girl I am!) and had Nana's Christmas since she was in hospital over the holidays.
Then was more than ready to crawl into our warm fleece sheets at 9:30pm. :)

Happy Monday!

I love that my Dog is the only dog misbehaving and not looking at the camera. I'm glad Justin was OK. I heard of an avalanche in Kananaskis on Saturday and I freaked out, then remembered he was goin on Sunday. So all was well.
